Portfolio and Case Studies
Web Development - Marketing - Public Relations
Our portfolio of work is as diverse as our clients. From logo's designed for national organizations, to local Virginia websites. We are always working on new and original projects that expand our companies capability. If you have a question about a spefic technique or technology we would be happy to speak with you and walk you through examples of our work.
We approach every client as an individual because we believe projects almost never fit into pre-defined packages. We try and give examples to the broad range of work we do. Once again if you would like to see something specific do not hesitate to ask.

Center for Community Impact Research
As an organization that carries out research in communities across the United States, the research requires the involvement of local people with an interest in the effectiveness of local outreach programs. Those associate researchers needed a place to be listed within the company website. The organization also needed a streamlined process for accepting new associate researchers into the center.
We installed a solution that adresses both needs. The directory sofware can both list associate researchers, and process the applications for new researchers. New applicants are processed and stalled for human approval, while the current researchers can be browsed by location, alphabetically, and searched.
The site is built on a liquid design that has a web 2.0 look and feel. The site expands and contracts to fit the variouse monitor sizes. All of the code is search engine friendly and web standards compliant.

A Local Virginia business with a National Voice
When developing this site several goals were considered. The site needed to have a crisp, attractive feel that can quickly direct visitors to the right information. The initial marketing strategy of the site is opt-in email campaigns. The organization already had an extensive list from which to start. Because email is so important we felt it was important to include a list management system that can send email blasts. The next vital piece of the puzzle was making sure that room for addition and modular design were implimented.
Because e-commerce and podcasts are in the near future for the site, those technologies needed to be built in to the site and ready for launch when the time comes. The design is very easy for search engines to spider; even the tab menu is css based so that the search engines can read the text. The site is coded in xhtml 1.0 transitional and css 1.0. The site is also Secure Socket Layer capable for secure credit card transactions, and has a blogging application built in.
Update: The website is now offering products in a shopping cart and the email management application has been updated with our inhouse DWGT email system. At current the entire look, feel, and information archatecture is undergoing a re-design. Watch out for the new look and feel with some added functionality in January of 08!
A Forest Non-Profit
Paul Revere Brigade is a local Virginia non-profit located just down the road in Forest. The Organizations director Martin Moyer is a respected political advocate for citizens rights and a Domestic Terrorism Watchdog. We are helping Martin achieve his organizations goal of educating people across the country on how to take part in our nations homeland defense. Partnered with the Christian Action Network, Paul Revere Brigade is a membership based site where members can interact in a meaningful way to not only become educated about the real threat of domestic terrorism, but to be proactive in thier own communities to alert civic leaders of possible extreemist groups in their immediate surroundings.
This website is capable of securely transacting credit cards, automatically re-billing members, and providing password protected content for members only. It also has a web 2.0 style management interface for in-house content management allowing PRB to keep its upkeep costs down.
Members of the site can submit stories they have found from around the web, interact with polls, chat rooms, and discussion boards as well as connect with other members in their immediate area.
Examples of graphic design and branding
The first step in creating any kind of campaign for a product or organization is to establish or increase brand recognition. Using the latest technologies and trends in design, our graphic designers focus on an organization's mission and purpose when designing logos and identity packages. Below are some of the logos we have designed:
